On February 1, 2022, Audra turned 50. This is a HUGE milestone that needed to be celebrated in a big way! So we did.

Tulsa Celebration

We have a lot of close friends whose birthdays are very close so we often celebrate as group. A dear friend of ours shares a birthday with Audra. (Except he is 10 years older that her.) We like to dedicate the BIG birthdays to just them. We met in Tulsa for a celebration weekend. Some other friends in the Tulsa area joined us for a great celebration weekend.

February 1

Dinner at Char Steakhouse & Oyster Bar for just the two of us. It was a lovely dinner and the service was great. (I didn’t think to get a picture with our server, but his name was Eddie. EXCELLENT server!) https://www.charsteakandoyster.com

Cafe Cusco

On Saturday, we met some other close friends downtown at Cafe Cusco. This was the surprise party. Thanks to a great group of friends, we were able to surprise her. And our kids were able to make it out, so it was an added bonus! https://www.cafecusco.com

Vantage Rooftop Bar

After dinner, we headed downtown to Vantage Rooftop Lounge & Conservatory, which is part of the Vandivort Hotel. The Vantage offers some great drinks with a cozy lounge area or you can make you way out to the conservatory for a great view of downtown Springfield. https://www.rooftopvantage.com

Saturday night was a spectacular night for hanging out on the rooftop. The skies were clear and the moon was a 22.9% Waxing Crescent Moon, which made an amazing skyscape as it traversed across the western skies. The temperature was a little chill, but we were able to get two igloos for our group, so it was a fantastic night at the Vantage!
